Also [I]Vespertine[/I] is the best album Bjork has ever done and the only one I still own/listen to by her. Other than that, your list has a lot of my favorite bands on it whose albums this year disappointed me (Springsteen, Interpol, New Pornographers, BRMC), some others who I liked in years past but gave up on (Radiohead, Ryan Adams), and a lot of stuff that just isn't my thing (Rilo Kiley, Jesse Malin, Bright Eyes, Tegan & Sara). I also don't see much difference in the "who's going to care about this in ten years?" angle aside from Radiohead, Springsteen, and the Arcade Fire. I've been looking back at previous year's best of lists, and really, this year just wasn't that great, relatively, in music. Also, holy shit 2001 was a good year.
